Founding Father Benjamin Franklin lived by the motto:
“Well done is better than well said.”
In other words, actions speak louder than words.
Thanks to our patriotic supporters, Maine First Project has earned the reputation as the tip of the spear in the political and cultural battles in our once-great state.
We’ve earned that reputation through not just what we say, but what we do. Last week, I explained the “why” behind Maine First Project. Today, I’d like to share the “what.”
Maine First Project is committed to building a peaceful and patriotic grassroots army to hold elected officials accountable.
We hold FREE Activist Training courses, so that grassroots army is trained with time-tested tactics proven to get the job done.
That well-trained grassroots army is truly the tip of the spear in the fight to restore Maine to the Way Life Should Be.
How?
We put that peaceful and patriotic army to work!
They flood legislators and party “leadership” with letters, emails, and phone calls demanding “Yea” votes on good bills and “Nay” votes on bad bills. And these Maine patriots have been successful in these efforts many times over the years.
But they don’t go silent when the legislative session ends.
Maine First Project keeps the grassroots army informed of their lawmakers’ votes in the swamp of Augusta. The patriots then take to the ballot boxes to vote out swamp critters with bad records — and reward the courageous few who stand up to the woke special-interest pleaders at the Coliseum on the Kennebec.
Maine First Project supporters are among the only fighters for traditional values active in both the legislative AND election seasons.
One of Maine First Projects’ newest – and most successful – programs is our Forgotten Parents Initiative.
As you know, Maine’s government-run K-12 schools are indoctrinating another generation of students in left-wing Identity Politics. Unchecked, these propaganda mills will churn out voters who can be counted on to elect and re-elect candidates in the mold of Jackboot Janet, our Big Sister in the Blaine House.
It’s long past time for parents (and grandparents) to intervene on behalf of the next generation of Mainers.
Our Forgotten Parents Initiative — ably led by Director of Special Projects, Shawn McBreairty of Hampden — is shining a bright light into the darkest corners of the K-12 swamp.
Over the past 12 months, Maine First Project has disseminated hundreds of sample Freedom of Access Act (FOAA) requests, and then coached parents on how to file and follow up on those requests with their local school administrators.
With our encouragement and training, many of those parents will run for and win seats on local school boards.
This isn’t just a fight for our future – it’s a fight for our NOW.
And we’re also in the process of building our Backbone Maineprogram.
Our once-great state was built by men and women who engaged in farming, fishing, and forestry — and some of our pioneer ancestors excelled in all three! Their legacy is the foundation, not just of our economy, but of our uniquely Maine way of life.
Those natural resource-based industries, and the people who work in them, are under attack as never before by the Nanny State Nonprofit Industrial Complex, cheered on by its allies in the Fake News media.
That’s why Maine First Project is making it a priority to connect with Maine’s farming, fishing, and forestry workers. We will educate them on protecting their livelihoods, and mobilize them to make a difference — including candidate training for those who decide to run for office.
And of course, everything we do is guided by the Maine First Agenda I told you all about last week.
I’m so glad I have patriots like you on board with the Maine First Project team. Together, we will overcome the woke mob, the cancel-culture vigilantes, and the pampered, pompous “progressives” who dominate state government, academia, and the K-12 swamp.
Thank you for your loyal support of Maine First Project, and for fighting peacefully and patriotically to Make Maine Great Again!
Hon. Lawrence Lockman
