You may have noticed headlines like this one on the front page of the Bangor Daily News last week are becoming more and more common:
Mainer arrested after police find 7 pounds of fentanyl in his apartment
The 24-year-old suspect is Almuntadhar Mohammed of Biddeford. At his apartment, police recovered a loaded handgun and $2,500 in cash. The Maine DEA estimated the street value of the seized drugs at more than $300,000.
Here’s another recent headline, this one from The Maine Wire:
Here’s an excerpt from the article (click the headline above for the entire story):Named as the subjects of the search warrant at 130 Targett Rd. in New Gloucester is 19-year-old Amir Gul-Mohammad and his brother Nor Gul-Mohammad, who turned 18 on April 29…
According to a copy of Amir Gul-Mohammad’s State of Maine criminal history record, the 19-year-old targeted as part of the New Gloucester search warrant has been arrested and charged with multiple drug trafficking and possession felonies in recent months.
In October 2023, the elder Gul-Mohammad was arrested by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) in Portland and indicted on two counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, as well as unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of fentanyl powder, all felony offenses.
Another recent headline from The Maine Wire:
Man Involved in Four-Car Crash That Left Maine Woman Dead Entered U.S. Illegally in January: Oguzhan Cildir – The Maine Wire
Here’s an excerpt (click the headline above for the entire story):
A law enforcement source familiar with the matter told the Maine Wire that at least five witnesses on the scene confirmed to police that Cildir had been driving erratically, weaving in between cars, prior to the crash.
The source also said that Cildir does not have a driver’s license. It’s unclear how he was able to obtain the Prius or who the vehicle may have belonged to.
Despite Cildir’s immigration status and involvement in the crash, the source said that York County District Attorney Kathryn Slattery has been reluctant to pursue charges against him, potentially due to Cildir facing deportation if charged with a crime.
I won’t belabor the manifest insanity of Maine’s immigration policy, except to say this:
Gov. Millstone’s “Office of New Americans” will facilitate more mayhem across the state. She doesn’t care how many Mainers are killed or poisoned as long as hordes of undocumented Democrats from around the world continue to settle in Maine at taxpayer expense. She will even provide the law-breakers with free legal counsel if and when they’re subject to deportation proceedings.
We all have a decision to make: will we shrug our shoulders in the face of this existential threat to our lives and liberty?
Or will we get organized and work to awaken those within our circle of influence?
