Coming Soon to a Neighborhood Near You: Section 8 Housing for Illegal Immigrants

For the past six months, swamp critters at the Statehouse have been working on a grand “affordable housing” plan, with special emphasis on “racial equity.”

The Left’s housing plan is coming together just in time to ensure a bright future for all the illegal immigrants who crashed the southern border and resettled in Maine since President Brandon took office. At least 1,000 of these “new Mainers” are currently being housed at taxpayer expense in motels across Cumberland and York counties.

Many of the border-crashers have criticized the state’s response to the urgency of their plight, saying it lags behind the obvious need for food, clothing, and health care — especially for the pregnant women.

Swamp Queen Janet and her court jesters could see the writing on the wall last June. So they appointed a bunch of their woke Leftist colleagues and cronies to a commission to “increase housing opportunities.” Commissioners were tasked with proposing legislation to override local zoning ordinances that protect neighborhoods of single-family homes.

You’re familiar with the admonition, “never let a good crisis go to waste,” aren’t you? It’s one of the Ten Commandments for every serious Leftist.

Now the Left has a “crisis” of its own making to exploit!

For years our corrupt and malevolent ruling class has bemoaned Maine’s status as one of the “whitest” states in the union. The obvious solution is to encourage Third World immigration, legal or illegal, to remedy Maine’s shameful “whiteness.”

The illegal immigration invasion is well underway, so now is the perfect time for the Left to strike down any barriers to resettling the lawbreakers wherever they want to go. And if that means small-town Maine where Deplorables live, so be it.

If Mills and her minions are successful in overriding local zoning ordinances, expect to see high-rise Section 8 housing projects right smack in the middle of single-family residential neighborhoods across the state.

As an added benefit to her cronies, the swampy “non-profit” housing developers allied with Queen Janet will get to stuff their pockets with more state tax credits!

Stay tuned for more information, as we await the unveiling of the proposed legislation.

Rest assured that Maine First Project will continue to shine a bright light into the darkest corners of the Augusta swamp. You can help ensure that we reach a wider audience with our findings by chipping in with $10, $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford.

Thanks for your support. We wouldn’t be on the cutting edge of resistance to the woke mob and its masters without patriots like you stepping up.

Sincerely,

Hon. Lawrence Lockman
