Maine Parent Refuses to Bend Knee to Lord Fauci, Challenges Anti-Science Religious Cult in Winslow

August 30, 2021 –

As you know, the really smart and virtuous people who make up Maine’s ruling class are waging a war of attrition against anyone who dissents from Lord Fauci’s dogmatic teachings.

And it comes as no surprise that Fauci’s followers won’t be satisfied until your children and grandchildren wear the vestments of the cult, the hallowed face diaper.

So, I’m happy to report that at least one Maine parent has engaged an attorney to push back against the faith-based, anti-science fanaticism of the local school board in Winslow, Maine:

Scott Fortuna is ably represented by the Augusta firm Steve Smith Trial Lawyers, with attorney Jack Baldacci handling the case.

Here is a statement from the firm about the lawsuit:

Since the beginning of the pandemic, many were quick to hand over their constitutionally protected freedoms to combat a then-unknown virus. Now, over a year-and-a-half into the outbreak, Mainers’ fundamental constitutional rights cannot continue to be ignored.

Justice Gorsuch warned that “[e]ven if the Constitution has taken a holiday during this pandemic, it cannot become a sabbatical,” and that “we may not shelter in place when the Constitution is under attack. Things never go well when we do.” Roman Catholic  Diocese of Brooklyn v. Cuomo, 592 U.S. ___ (2020) (Gorsuch, J. concurring).

Today, much more is known about the virus. Except in the rarest of cases, children do not get sick from COVID-19. It is even rarer that children suffer any fatalities from a virus that affects them in ways similar to the common flu.

The Winslow School System, like many others, has simply exceeded its authority by infringing on a parent’s fundamental right to parent his child. Parents are capable of reviewing and balancing the risks that COVID-19 pose to their children and making their own decisions about whether to force their child to wear a mask.

You can be sure that Maine First Project is working hard, building public awareness of what’s at stake when parental rights to direct the medical care and education of their children are stomped on by our elected officials.

Please consider helping us extend our reach and our influence by chipping in with $10, $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford to Maine First Project. Your gift will enable our team to recruit more Mainers for the battles ahead.

We are offering free Activist Training courses that will prepare you to push back against the Left’s aggressive assaults on our most basic liberties. Think of these sessions as basic training in the art of political and cultural warfare.

PS

Justice Gorsuch warned that “[e]ven if the Constitution has taken a holiday during this pandemic, it cannot become a sabbatical,” and that “we may not shelter in place when the Constitution is under attack. Things never go well when we do.”

You won’t catch our team at Maine First Project sheltering in place while Leftist lunatics shred the Constitution!

Will you step up today to assist with our mission to recruit and train a grassroots army of activists to transform the political landscape in Maine? Whether it’s $10, $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford, your support will move us closer to accomplishing that mission.

And don’t forget the Activist Training sessions detailed above. Attendance is by invitation only, and we still have openings at all three at this point, so don’t delay getting in touch if you’re interested.

As always, thanks for all you do every day to make Maine such a special place!
