Woke totalitarians inhabit the swamps of both Washington D.C. and Augusta!
And lying Leftists run the fake news industry in Maine and throughout our country.
I know for many Maine First patriots it can feel like there’s no saving Maine or America.
That’s why it’s so important you see the good news and positive actions Maine’s lying, dying Fake News outlets refuse to report.
It is my pleasure today to share some of what I’ve been witnessing firsthand all across the Pine Tree State.
Over the past couple of months, Maine First Project has been on the front lines in the battle against Leftist indoctrination in K-12 government-run schools.
I’ve spoken to audiences in Hancock, Washington, Penobscot, and Cumberland Counties. These meetings were packed with concerned parents, who want nothing more than a quality education for their children.
At these meetings, hundreds of parents have heard our message and are committing to take a stand against Critical Race Theory in the classroom.
And that’s not all. I have speaking engagements lined up in Waldo County and in Knox County before the end of August.
The title of my presentation is: Leftist Indoctrination in Maine’s K-12 Classrooms: Marxist Hate Dressed Up as Racial Justice.
As you know, Maine First Project was the first to sound the alarm on Critical Race Theory in Maine – that was nearly three years ago. At that time, the issue was barely on the radar screens of other conservative groups.
Early in 2019, I sponsored LD 589 to outlaw racial stereotyping and racial scapegoating in Maine classrooms. It was killed in committee without a single GOP vote to move the bill before the full Legislature for a recorded vote.
Two years later, thanks to Maine First patriots like you, we were able to kill a poison-pill committee amendment to an identical bill, LD 550. Our call to action mobilized Mainers across the state.
I’m happy to report that legislators were overwhelmed with phone calls and emails demanding a clean up-or-down vote on the original bill.
And that’s exactly what happened! We got the roll call vote we wanted on a teachers’ Code of Ethics that banishes the Marxist ideology known as Critical Race Theory from Maine’s K-12 public-school classrooms.
Now, you and I can hold Maine legislators accountable based on their actual votes against Maine students — and not the propaganda they spew to voters around election time.
In fact, Maine First Project has received national recognition. Our work has been featured in places like David Horowitz’ FrontPageMag and Andrew Breitbart’s Breitbart.com, just to name a couple.
But Maine First Project will not rest on our laurels. With your help, we will continue to take the fight to the Left, fight fire with fire, train a grassroots army of Maine First patriots, and make Maine great again.
After seeing what I’ve seen the past couple of months, I’m confident Mainers can — and will — save our beautiful state.
