Are Gov. Janet Millstone and AG Aaron Frey prepared to lose $250 million worth of federal aid to Maine’s failing K-12 schools, just to prove how committed Maine state government is to the transgender supremacy cult?
We will likely soon find out.
If and when push turns to shove at the Statehouse this week, we may also learn how many Republicans in the Maine House of Representatives have backbones.
Will any of the GOP Reps sprint for the tall grass once the slings and arrows start flying from Speaker Fecteau’s bully pulpit?
We shall see…
As reported by The Maine Wire, the firestorm was ignited by an athletic event last week at Bates College, when a male student pretending to be female was allowed to compete against female athletes in the pole-vault competition:
“A transgender-identifying male, competing under the name ‘Katie,’ from Cumberland’s Greely High School, came out on top in the girls’ pole vault competition on Monday during the Maine Indoor Track Meet at Bates College.
The student is a biological male who previously competed in boys’ pole-vaulting as a mid-level athlete. Since identifying as a girl, ‘Katie’ has been allowed to compete against female students.
At Monday’s meet, ‘Katie’ jumped 11 feet, a mediocre score for boys, but within just one inch of Maine’s girls’ pole-vault champion, who set an 11-foot, one-inch record last year at the National Pole Vault Summit.”
Thanks to the rapid response of Rep. Laurel Libby of Auburn, news of this outrageous abuse of female athletes spread like wildfire. Here’s how Rep. Libby framed the issue during her media blitz, with appearances on Howie Carr and Laura Ingraham, among others:
“The decision by the Maine Principals’ Association to continue allowing male athletes to compete against female athletes in school athletic competitions is outrageous. Not only does their decision violate President Trump’s February 5 Executive Order but it jeopardizes the safety and privacy of female athletes, all while allowing male athletes to take medals, trophies, and podium spots away from women, effectively erasing them.”
The week-long saturation coverage of the controversy culminated on Friday at the White House with a hostile exchange between President Trump and Gov. Millstone. It was marvelous! If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out HERE.
I’m writing to you this morning to ask for your help ensuring that Rep. Libby’s fellow Republicans in the House of Representatives maintain a united front if Speaker Ryan Fecteau attempts to drive a wedge into the caucus.
The Statehouse rumor mill tells me that the Democrats may attempt to censure Rep. Libby for posting on social media a widely circulated photo of the young man who won the girls’ pole vault competition. Here it is:
Fecteau has freaked out over the photo, whining that it somehow violates this young man’s right to privacy. Mr. Speaker has publicly chastised Rep. Libby, and followed up with an email and a phone call. To her credit, she has flat-out refused his request that she take down the photo.
Fecteau’s misogynistic contempt for women is on full display here. He’s worried about the gender-dysphoric boy’s right to privacy, but he’s openly hostile to protecting the safety and privacy rights of female athletes.
As devoted disciples of the transgender supremacy cult, Fecteau and his co-religionists require non-believers to change their ways, adjust their lives, nod their heads, and give up their right to privacy to accommodate the demands of people who suffer from mental illness.
Bottom line:
ANY attempt to censure or reprimand Rep. Libby must be met with a united front of uncompromising opposition. If even a single squishy Republican votes with the brain-dead Democrats, Maine’s lying, dying Fake News media outlets will proclaim a bipartisan victory for the trans supremacists.
