Historic Court Victory Stings K-12 Tyrants!

How sweet it is!

A federal judge just gave detentions to the petty tyrants, Left-wing fascists, and pornography pushers on the RSU 22 school board in Hampden.

I’m delighted to report, that at least for now, the First Amendment right to freedom of speech at school board meetings is still recognized and enforced by the federal judiciary!

Help Maine First Project strike while the iron is hot and double down while momentum is high in our efforts to empower Maine’s Forgotten Parents.

As I reported earlier this week, Shawn McBreairty, our Director of Special Projects, sued the RSU 22 school board for banning him from speaking at school board meetings — and even from setting foot on school grounds.

With the support of Maine First Project patriots like you, Shawn not only sued, but moved for an emergency Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the district — a very high bar for any plaintiff in federal court.

On Wednesday afternoon, US District Court Judge Nancy Torresen granted McBreairty’s motion, and noted that he is likely to prevail on the merits when the case comes to trial.

This is a huge victory, not just for Shawn, but for every forgotten parent in Maine who’s been shoved aside by the Leftist tyrants who dominate state government, academia, the K-12 swamp, and the Fake News media.

You and I both know, Janet Mills, MDOE chief Pender Makin, and the Social Justice Snowflake school administrators aren’t going to take this loss lying down. That’s why I’m asking you today to make a gift of $10, $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to Maine First Project so we can expand our Forgotten Parents Initiative and make education in Maine great again.

Join me in stepping back for a moment and looking at the big picture taking form during the past two years of conflict and controversy in public education.

The authoritarians tried to flex their muscle with mindless COVID-19 restrictions — including mandatory face diapers in the classroom. But in retrospect, their biggest blunder was caving to pressure from the teachers’ union to shut down classroom instruction and move to so-called “remote learning.”

I know you agree, remote learning turned out to be not much learning at all for most students. And teaching via Zoom backfired in more ways than one.

With their children attending school in the kitchen or living room, parents got their first sneak peek at the brainwashing that’s the rule rather than the exception in Maine’s K-12 government-run schools.

Parents began to speak out against CRT indoctrination and Queer Theory propaganda, at which point the know-it-all elitist educrats knew they had to muzzle the opposition.

From local school officials to statewide office holders in the swamp of Augusta, all the way up to the Biden Administration and US Attorney General Merrick Garland, the radically woke are hell-bent on muzzling parents. Even going as far as labeling them “domestic terrorists.”

They went after Shawn with a vengeance, trying to keep him away from his daughters’ high-school graduation, banning him from school board meetings, and even targeting him with a frivolous lawsuit in Hermon.

The objective? Force Shawn to back down and go away. And perhaps more important to them, make an example out of Shawn in an effort to intimidate other parents.

But Shawn didn’t back down. With the support of Maine First patriots he fought back and he’s winning!

And now, a federal judge just handed the RSU 22 school district a stunning defeat. And the board can’t blame “Orange Man Bad.” It was an Obama-appointed judge who handed down the demerits.

But this is not just a victory for Shawn, or Maine First Project, or even our supporters. It’s a victory for every parent and taxpayer in the state. It puts school boards on notice that they can’t bully and muzzle the people who are being taxed to death to support Maine’s K-12 indoctrination camps.

Maine First Project will never simply rest on our laurels. We will continue the fight, but we can only fight with your support. That’s why I’m asking you today to make a gift of $10, $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to Maine First Project so we can expand our Forgotten Parents Initiative and protect the next generation of Mainers.

Shawn attended the RSU 22 school board meeting on Wednesday night, just hours after Judge Torresen granted the Temporary Restraining Order. Watch it here, and see what a class act this guy is. Shame on the RSU 22 board members for the needless expense they have imposed on the district’s taxpayers.

Thank you, Shawn, for staying the course. Keep shining that bright light into the K-12 swamp. The legions of forgotten parents across the state salute you, and so do I.
