Six years ago today, Democrats in the Maine House of Representatives introduced articles of impeachment against Gov. Paul LePage.
During my floor speech, I focused on the corruption and dishonesty of Speaker Marks Eves and his weasely chief of staff Bill Brown. Eves used his office to land a job for which he was manifestly unqualified, following in the path of previous Democrat Speakers.
Paul LePage blew the whistle on Eves’ corrupt deal, and for that the Democrats retaliated with an impeachment resolution.
I was interrupted repeatedly by the buffoon, Speaker pro tem Jeff McCabe, and the swampy Speaker-to-be, Sara Gideon. They tried unsuccessfully to shut down any discussion of the cronyism and corruption in the Speaker’s office.
