Make your voice heard on CRT indoctrination in Maine

Where are the Republican leaders in Augusta?

You and I know better than to expect Maine’s Social Justice Snowflake Democrats to stand up for parents and push back against the indoctrination of our children and grandchildren in Maine’s K-12 government-run schools.

Heck, the Dems are applauding the teachers and administrators who have transformed Maine’s public schools into Leftist indoctrination centers.

But we expected more from GOP legislative leaders. We were counting on them to be the “opposition party.”

Unfortunately, one of the things I learned during my four terms in the Swamp is that the GOP caucuses in the Maine House and the Maine Senate have more than a few “go with the flow” types, squishy Republicans too afraid of rocking the boat to make any waves.

Maine First Project has been reaching out to GOP leadership to persuade them to join the fight against the twin plagues of Critical Race Theory indoctrination and demented LGBTQ++ propaganda in Maine’s K-12 classrooms.

I can tell you this: we need your help waking up Republican leadership. They are not going to take action unless they hear from you and others.

That’s why today I’m asking you to reach out and call the GOP leaders at the Swamp in Augusta.

Jeffery L. Timberlake, Senate Minority Leader, and Matthew G. Pouliot, Assistant Senate Minority Leader – (207) 287-1505.

Kathleen R. J. Dillingham, House Republican Leader, and Joel R. Stetkis, Assistant Republican Leader – (207) 287-1440.

Encourage them to stand up for Maine parents and against the onslaught of San Francisco values infecting Maine schools.

And if you can, please consider making a gift of $10, $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford. Your donation will help build Maine First Project’s Forgotten Parents Initiative, fighting back against K-12 classroom indoctrination.

Too many Republican politicians in Augusta are sprinting for the tall grass. They need to hear from you before they get too comfortable making excuses for their inaction.

As we’ve urged them to join us on the frontlines of the culture war against Leftist brainwashing, we’ve heard this refrain: “It’s a local issue.”

Seriously?

Far too often, and for far too long, Republicans have clung to the “it’s a local issue” line whenever they’re afraid of confrontation.  Maine First Project isn’t afraid of confrontation, and I know you aren’t either.

And our new Director of Special Projects, Shawn McBreairty of Hampden, certainly hasn’t shied away from confrontation while spearheading our Forgotten Parents Initiative.

Shawn has heard the “it’s a local issue” cop-out repeatedly.

When you’re dealing with a matter of right and wrong, it doesn’t matter if it’s the federal government, state government, a local government, or even a business – you fight for what’s right.

Brainwashing our children to believe that white people are inherently racist and benefit from “white privilege,” that society is out to get minorities, and that there are dozens or hundreds of genders is just plain wrong.

Mainers have had enough of the “local issue” cop-out.

We need action now!

Please call GOP leadership today and urge them to join the fray.

Come on in, you guys, the water is warm!

Jeffery L. Timberlake, Senate Minority Leader, and Matthew G. Pouliot, Assistant Senate Minority Leader – (207) 287-1505.

Kathleen R. J. Dillingham, House Republican Leader, and Joel R. Stetkis, Assistant Republican Leader – (207) 287-1440.

Encourage them to stand up for Maine parents and against the purveyors of race-based Identity Politics in OUR public schools.

How can the demented LGBTQ++ curricula be a “local issue” outside the purview of a state legislator, when local school districts receive hundreds of millions of dollars every year from state coffers?
How can hateful CRT be a “local issue” when the state Department of Education spews out “professional development” webinars — paid for by Maine taxpayers — encouraging teachers to inquire into students’ race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and preferred gender identity?

And this isn’t just a moral battle. It’s also a winning political strategy.

Some in GOP leadership suggest they need to win a majority before they can tackle issues this important to Maine parents and grandparents.

But how will they ever win a majority if they’re AWOL on this issue?

Didn’t the results in Virginia’s gubernatorial race teach them anything?

Parents are beginning to show up at school board meetings across the state to push back against rotten curricula, lackluster student achievement that predates the pandemic by at least a decade, mask mandates, CRT, and kiddie porn in middle-school classrooms and libraries.

The Fake News media have largely ignored these stories. I’m convinced that would change big time if state legislators showed up to stand with the parents who put them in office.

Please, urge the GOP to join Maine First Project and Mainers like you. These legislators won’t get their hands dirty unless you tell them your vote depends on it.

Use the numbers we’ve provided. Make the call. Make your voice heard. It will make a difference for Maine students.

Thank you for your support and patriotism, Maine wouldn’t stand a chance without you.

Sincerely,

Hon. Lawrence Lockman
Maine House of Representatives, 2012-2020
Co-founder & President
Maine First Project

P.S.

Is CRT in the classroom a “local issue?

Should Republicans wait until they achieve majority status in the legislature before they take action on the deranged LGBTQ++ propaganda in Maine’s K-12 classrooms?

If you want GOP leadership to stand with parents, you need to nudge them today!

Jeffery L. Timberlake, Senate Minority Leader, and Matthew G. Pouliot, Assistant Senate Minority Leader – (207) 287-1505.

Kathleen R. J. Dillingham, House Republican Leader, and Joel R. Stetkis, Assistant Republican Leader – (207) 287-1440.

And please consider doing me a personal favor and making a donation of $10, $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford to Maine First Project. Your gift will help build our Forgotten Parents Initiative, fighting back against the indoctrination of our children and grandchildren.
