Truth, Integrity, and Maine Grit!

I’ll be the first to admit that sometimes I get discouraged by over-exposure to the headlines and “breaking news” spewed by the Fake News media. So many falsehoods, so much fear-mongering…

But the other day I was buoyed by the feedback I received from a stalwart Maine patriot I first met close to ten years ago, during my first term in the Maine House of Representatives.

Pat Zebley of Lewiston is a veteran of the cultural and political battles that have gripped Maine for the past several decades. She knows a thing or two about how to effectively advocate for the forgotten Mainers, young and old, who’ve been shoved aside by the bureaucrats and politicians.

So I was honored and humbled by her heartfelt message of support for our work at Maine First Project:

I love every part of (your) agenda for Maine because it is freedom-oriented and constitutionally solid. Thank you for all you do for our state. This should appeal to every freedom-loving patriot who understands how the heavy hand of government is just a steel boot on the neck of the Maine citizen.
