Exclusive: Woke Media Outlet Covers for Woke Teacher

Just when you thought the collusion between Maine’s Fake News media and the state’s government-run K-12 indoctrination camps couldn’t get any worse….guess what?

The collusion IS worse than ever!

Here’s the latest instance of the Fake News monopoly covering the backside of the Fake Education monopoly:

Shawn McBreairty, our Director of Special Projects, was attacked in an Ellsworth American opinion column (7/21/22) by a woke Ellsworth teacher.

Under the headline, Teachers targeted by outlandish claims,” Carrie Kutny — faculty advisor to the Gender/Sexuality Diversity Alliance at Ellsworth High School — complained that McBreairty falsely accused her of  “talking sex every Wednesday after class” with students during GSDA meetings.

The team at Maine First Project always hits back twice as hard as we’ve been hit. With that philosophy in mind, Shawn drafted an op-ed of his own in response. And he used the exact same number of words as Kutny wrote. Ya know, for the sake of equity.

However, Ellsworth American editor Cyndi Wood flat-out refused to publish Shawn’s rebuttal. Here it is. You be the judge.

Commentary – Ellsworth School Board is a Clown Show

On the night of August 9th, there was a school board meeting in the Ellsworth Town Hall council chambers where there was a flurry of hissy fits thrown by Vice Chair Abigail Miller, who showed a clear lack of understanding of Robert’s Rules and the First Amendment to the Constitution.

But, that’s on par with your local clown show of a school board.

You see, they once threw a grandmother out of a meeting for asking about CRT, escorted out by police.  They lost that case and the school district lost $5,000 in a legal settlement and tens of thousands of dollars in lawyer fees.  They threw out a concerned mother, questioning Covid restrictions placed on her son; she was also escorted out by police.  They served a resident “harassment” papers when he spoke up about accountability, his First Amendment right.  See a pattern here?

There will be no dissenting opinion, or questioning of your children’s education.

Fact is, the taxpayers of Maine and the property taxpayers of Ellsworth are spending around $20,000 per pupil, per year to send a child to the woke indoctrination centers, otherwise known as Ellsworth schools.

Fact, only 36% of Maine 4th graders read at a proficiency level and the same number, only 36% of Maine 8th graders are proficient in math.  That number has remained virtually unchanged the last decade.  You can thank the MDOE and MEA, Maine teachers union for that.  Maine’s educational situation is now in crisis and Maine puts forth some of the worst numbers in the nation.

Fact, 67.3% of Ellsworth High School students are BELOW, or WELL BELOW the State guidelines in math.  The last true assessment was done in 2018/19, before the Covid political theater where your kids were masked 6 hours a day with no scientific proof that it would do anything.  Except cause them more educational deficiencies and possibly physical and mental harm.  Anxiety, depression and thoughts of suicide are through the roof because of it.

Fact, you are paying for a Gay Sexuality Diversity Alliance in the high school, with the faculty advisor, Spanish teacher Carrie Kutney, who claims that she isn’t talking “sex” after school to minors without their parents’ permission.  Except of course, she’s sending LGBTQ messages to all your children via text and email and the club recruitment statement says, “…or are (you) questioning your sexuality or gender…” and literally the word, “sexuality” is in the club name.

Instead of increased academic performance, setting your child up for success in their future, you get virtue signaling from the district pushing Critical Race Theory praxis, aka “equity,” Social Emotional Learning, aka “forcing outcomes on your children” and the hyper-sexualization of minors.  It all falls under Critical Pedagogy which the left uses teachers to force political ideology on your children.  I’ve spent two in depth years researching this in Maine and it’s the same theme all over the State.  You are not alone in Ellsworth.

God save the kids of Ellsworth, because to date, the parents are not willing to do so.

Thanks, Shawn, for shining a bright light into the darkest corners of the K-12 swamp.
