Remember the hysterical reaction to Lewiston mayor Bob MacDonald’s admonition that Somalis should leave their culture at the door when they resettle here in Maine?
In response, the Marxist Peoples Alliance branded MacDonald a racist.
That was in 2012.
Reaching back further, to October of 2002, Lewiston mayor Larry Raymond took lots of heat from the Somali “community” when he saidΒ Lewiston cannot continue the influx of newcomers “without negative consequences for all.”
He said the city is “maxed-out financially, physically and emotionally.”
“The Somali community must exercise some discipline and reduce the stress on our limited finances and generosity.”Β Β (seacoastonline, October 15, 2002)
Fast forward to 2025, and it’s clear mayors MacDonald and Raymond were prescient.
Here’s a sampling of headlines from The Maine Wire, the ONLY media outlet in the state reporting on the Somali community’s deep involvement in various welfare fraud schemes:
As we enter the New Year, I can assure you that our team at Maine First Project is laser-focused on the November 3rd mid-term elections. Incumbent legislators in competitive districts who enabled Gov. Millstone’s corruption will be held accountable. We will fight fire with fire in as many districts as our resources allow.
Frankly, any GOP candidate who doesn’t make this cesspool of corruption a central issue deserves to lose.
We will also be involved in dozens of school board races across the state, looking to replace woke incumbents with Maine patriots. We’re building a bench of candidates who will be prepared to run for higher office in future election cycles.
Restoring Maine to The Way Life Should Be won’t be quick or easy or cheap.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
In the meantime, have a very Merry MAGA New Year!
Best Regards,
Hon. Lawrence Lockman
