If you can’t stand the heat, don’t run for a school board seat!

Maine First Project has been very active this year advocating for children’s safety and parental rights in school board races all across the state.

As Larry often says, we have a long road ahead of us to restore Maine to The Way Life Should Be. And as Executive Director of Maine First Project, I can attest, it all starts in your local school district.

The candidates Maine First Project backs for school board seats all vow to fight the hyper-sexualization of children and the gender-bender madness that are the rule rather than the exception in Maine’s K-12 government-run schools. Maine parents overwhelmingly support shoving the woke agenda aside in favor of returning to basic academics (reading, writing, math).

This is one of those rare situations where the right thing to do is also the politically popular thing to do — otherwise known as a candidate’s dream.

But one of the candidates has been attacked by Maine Democrats’ public relations wing — the press. I’ll be asking you to call him and urge him not to sacrifice student safety, parental rights, and sound education just to appease the woke mob.

Here’s a look at the oversize post-card mailers (known as “slicks”) we sent out earlier this week.

Greg Bullock is running for school board in RSU 24. When I spoke to him, he assured me he would step up to the plate to keep porn out of the classroom and return sanity and classical education to Maine classrooms.

But then, at his first test of resolve, Greg buckled and is on the verge of losing courage and caving to the woke mob that is turning our once beautiful state into a squalid New England version of San Francisco.

Even after turning his back on Maine patriots the day before voters in the district head to the ballot box — later today, Greg could still win this school board election against his woke, disinformation-spreading opponent.

That’s why I’m going to ask you a favor. After you finish reading this update, please call Greg and respectfully give him the courage to stand up and protect the next generation of Mainers from the filth and propaganda plaguing Maine schools. You can reach him at  207-479-6484.

Why would a Navy veteran and father run away from his convictions and side with porn pushers? Easy answer: social media pressure and fear of the Fake News media.

After our mailer hit mailboxes, Maine First Project received notes of praise from residents who were glad someone was finally standing up and fighting for the issues Maine parents care about most.

But Greg’s opponent rushed to Facebook and spread lies about Maine First Project and the concerned parents we represent.

He accused Maine First Project of being funded by “outside money.” That’s a lie. Maine First Project is almost 100% powered by the generosity and passion of Maine patriots.

He then said Maine First Project was spreading misinformation. But he couldn’t point to a single thing we said that was untrue — despite the fact that his own post was littered with inaccuracies and personal attacks.

Finally, he tried to confuse the issue by saying Maine First Project wants to take away parents’ right to choose what their children can read. Nothing could be further from the truth. Maine First Project advocates for removing smut that’s unfit to read to adults at a public meeting out of libraries where young children have easy access. Those same “books” would still be available for purchase by any parent insane enough to show the pornographic materials to their kids.

Instead of correcting the record and standing up for what he claimed to believe, Greg Bullock tucked tail and caved. He called me in a panic about a phone call from the Bangor Daily News. And then — scared of the bad names the radical Left would call him — he cowardly threw Maine First Project under the bus.

As you can read in the hit piece disguised as an article linked here, Greg told the BDN he was “appalled” by the mailer.

“I did not authorize the mailer, and am appalled that they would do so without my knowledge,” Bullock told the BDN. “My goal in running for school board is to advocate for children and parents in Sorrento, so their voices can be heard.”

The radical Left is hellbent on taking down Maine First Project. They watch us like a hawk for any possible misstep. And for that reason, to stay clear of any potential campaign finance violations, we do not coordinate any of our efforts with candidates we support. We do not tell them when or even if we will spend a dime on their campaigns. And we absolutely would never give a candidate creative control over our message.

Greg may well still beat his woke opponent later today. And I know his heart is in the right place. He just lost his nerve after a faint amount of pressure was placed on him by social justice snowflakes and their favorite birdcage liner, the BDN.

That’s why I’m hoping you’ll give Greg a call and urge him to stand up to the indoctrinators destroying Maine’s schools and failing Maine students. You can reach him at  207-479-6484.

Greg also pointed to a typo on the slick. Let me defend Larry for a minute. We sent the original document to the mail shop without any errors. However, while putting it together, the mail shop accidentally left out the “l” in “children.” Unfortunately, we didn’t catch the mistake when they sent us back the proof. That is on us. But, it got our mailer printed on the pages of the BDN for free, so maybe it was serendipitous.

Also at issue is this twisted narrative that somehow the mailer attacks students because we called out low student performance scores. Make no mistake — that is not the fault of students at large. It is the fault of a school system that is failing students. Maine needs patriots on the school board who will fix the broken system that is coming up empty for our children.

All of this is just a continuation of the Left’s tiresome game of distraction. They try to distract with nasty name-calling and false accusations. They focus on anything but the merits of the issue.

Why? Because they can’t win on the issues. They have no arguments. So, instead, they hurl as many buzzword insults as they can attacking the messenger.

Unfortunately, this time it worked to scare Greg Bullock into submission. I hope you’ll reach out to him and give him the encouragement he needs to stand strong in the corner of concerned parents. The future of Maine students and Maine itself depends on it.

I understand no one wants to be labeled a “bigot,” a “white supremacist” or a “white nationalist.” And if you’re on the right side of the issues, you will be called those names, because that’s the go-to play in the radical Left’s playbook. But caving to the cancel-culture mob is not an option.

Thank you for being a loyal supporter of Maine First Project. This fight won’t be easy but it is worth it!

Best Regards,

P.S.

If you can’t stand the heat — don’t run for the school board.

A candidate Maine First Project supported for a school board race taking place today is caving under pressure from the social justice snowflakes and Maine’s Fake News industry.
