Rambunctious Gubernatorial Debate in Bangor Was an Eyeopener

In case you missed it, here’s a link to a video of the “Clash in the Queen City” gubernatorial debate at the Cross Insurance Center last Tuesday night:

The Debate: A Clash in the Queen City

I was there to see it live, and I was impressed by the professionalism of moderator Steve Robinson, Editor-in-Chief at The Maine Wire. His blunt questioning of the eight candidates was tailored to each candidate’s perceived weaknesses.

And Steve didn’t pull his punches, all the better to prepare the eventual GOP nominee for what’s in store when he steps into the arena against whichever Bolshevik candidate wins the Democrat nomination.

I’ll let you be the judge of which GOP candidate won the debate.

I was also glad to meet Maine Wire reporter Jon Fetherston. We had talked on the phone several times in the past few weeks, but Tuesday night was our first in-person meeting.

Jon’s in-depth reporting on the Somali Supremacists who are looting Medicaid and robbing our most vulnerable citizens of needed healthcare has been groundbreaking. Simply put, Jon is doing the feet-on-the-street investigative journalism that Maine’s lying, dying, Fake News media outlets just won’t do.

That’s why Maine First Project is pleased to have Jon as a guest speaker at our next Activist Training. That will be on Saturday, May 30th, in Augusta, from 9 am to noon at a venue TBA.

We will also be joined by my friend Jim LaBrecque, former energy advisor to Gov. Paul LePage.

We have set aside time for Q&A with Jon and Jim.

This training event is by invitation only, so shoot me an email if you’re interested.

Best Regards,

Hon. Lawrence Lockman
